Siamese    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Most Dogs
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello to my adoring public! My name is Bianca and I am searching for a forever home. I am a gorgeous (as you can clearly see) flame point Siamese kitty. I am approximately 2 years old as of 6-25-17 and weigh about 8 pounds. I love humans and enjoy being petted and adored by them. I do well with other cats and dogs so it would be fine for my new family to have other fur babies, as long as they realize that I am THE Princess. But just look at me, it should be obvious that I am royalty. If you think you are the right forever home for me, please contact RARE today. I promise to love my new family forever and ever. My adoption fee is ... (Read More)$85.00. I am spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. *PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT RURALANIMALRESCUEEFFORT.ORG **An application and home visit are required prior to adoption. All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have. Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only, Good with Kids and Adults

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hey! Ruger here! I am a handsome 11 month old boxer/staffie mix. I am only 45 lbs, so I'm the perfect size for cuddling. I enjoy long walks on the trail and couch time for the movie at the end of a good day. I am very people friendly. I will sit and wait for treats and I enter my crate on command. My crate is a great place for me to relax when you're not home. I enjoy my 'chews' and take a long nap. Then I'm ready for dinner and a nice walk or romp in the yard. I have gotten along great with dogs in the past, but once there was one who was trying to get more affection than me from my human on the couch while we were relaxing and I didn't ... (Read More)appreciate that. So, I made a mistake and got nasty with the other dog. Sometimes, dogs become possessive of their people when they live with other dogs. I don't mind other people coming around my humans, just other dogs when I'm trying to rest with them. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, kept on heartworm preventative and microchipped. An application and home visit are required.     PLEASE HELP THIS SENIOR LADY! Cleo is waiting at one of the shelters we assist and needs a foster or adoptive home ASAP. Hello everyone! My name is Cleo. I was taken to the shelter as a stray and no one ever came to pick me up and take me home with them. It seems that no one wants me which makes me very sad. Don't get me wrong; they are very nice to me at the shelter, but I keep seeing all the younger pups leave and say they are going to their forever home, but no one ever tells me I'm getting a family of my own. I am about 7 years old (as of 4-12-17) and weigh approximately 45 pounds. I am heartworm positive because no one ... (Read More)ever gave me any medicine to prevent me from getting them. The shelter ladies told me that if RARE finds a home for me, they will get treatment for me and it won't cost my new family anything. I'd say that's a pretty good deal. I am lonely and scared here. I want to have a home and a family of my own. I want someone to love me and care for me. I'm already 7 and haven't had a very good life. I hope that I am loved and cherished by someone before it is my time to cross to the Rainbow Bridge. I really like other dogs and get along great with them. So if you already have dogs, that's fine with me. I promise I'll be nice to them. The shelter staff wanted me to tell you that I am precious and am an absolute doll. If you can foster and/or adopt me, please contact RARE today. The shelter is very full and I need to find a home as soon as possible. **An application and home visit are required. American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Good day! My name is Vienna and I was picked up as a stray and taken to a kill pound in a rural area of Tennessee. I am now in a foster home, doing fantastic with house training and loving all the attention I am getting! I am about 2 years old (as of 4-4-17) and weigh 47 pounds. I love humans and with proper introductions like other dogs too. I usually just want to lick their faces! (RARE said they would do the introductions to make sure we all get along great.) I am curious about cats, so I'm still trying to figure out if they should be in my family or not. Please ask when applying for me if I have gotten more familiar with them. I ... (Read More)absolutely LOVE all people and every time I get pet or loved on. It is so amazing to be free and I show how grateful I am every day. I wasn't given heartworm medicine in the past by whoever 'owned' me, so I am heartworm positive, but RARE will be providing my treatment at no extra cost to my new family. Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello there! My name is Jessa and I am approximately 1 year old (as of 4-19-17) and weigh about 45 pounds. I may weigh around 55 pounds when I finish growing. I am a beautiful (if I do say so myself) Anatolian Shepherd mix. I have had a hard time during my short life. I ingested some poison when I was a young puppy and it has done some damage to my kidneys. The doctor says I will be fine and can live a nice long life, but I will need special food to make sure my kidneys stay at healthy as possible. This food is kind of expensive; it's $50.00 a bag. I know that's a lot of money, but I'm a sweet girl and promise to be worth it. The ... (Read More)doctor also said that I might have some problems holding my urine when I get older, but there is medication for that and it's not very expensive. So, I guess you would call me a special needs girl. I am house trained and do great with other dogs and children. I am a sweet girl and would love to have a family to call my very own. Would you consider making my dreams come true? If you will consider giving a girl like me a forever home, please contact RARE today. **An application and home visit are required. American Staffordshire Terrier    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hey guys and gals, I'm Max! I'm so happy to be here! I am about 1 year old American Staffordshire Terrier and I absolutely love people. I am currently in a wonderful foster home with my foster mom and dad and other dogs. I've also been around children and was very well mannered. I am great on leash and good around other dogs, especially with the ladies. I have had great success with my house training and in a routing with crate training and I only use the 'potty' outside. I am NOT good with chickens and I will hurt them, so please, no chickens! I do fine when the dogs and I are playing outside or in the house, but I do have some barrier ... (Read More)issues, so I don't like when there is a gate, fence or crate between me and another dog. It makes me very upset. However, it is certainly something I can be trained on and work through. Good news! - Whoever adopts me into their family will receive a training session with Nikki Ivey/Dog Speak included with my adoption! Unfortunately, my previous 'owners' kept me in an outside kennel, which is the reason for my barrier issues. Also, as time went on, I started to get so bored and just wanted to be with people, so I escaped my kennel at my old home and killed a neighbor's chicken. My people were so upset that they were planning on shooting me that afternoon. They didn't understand that all I wanted was some attention and love and to not be kept in solitary all day and that many dogs, if given the change, will kill a chicken. I really didn't realize that I did anything wrong, I swear! It was a miracle when a RARE foster agreed to take me in because I had torn my cruciate ligament. Thankfully, now I am able to have surgery to repair it and be able to play again without any pain. I don't have to wait to be adopted, I just need a family to let me rest and recoup for a few weeks before I start to play again. My surgery is scheduled for 1/19/2017, so please send good vibes my way! And don't hesitate to inquire about me and complete the adoption application at RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org! Please apply online at www.rurralanimalreacueeffort.org/adopt-foster. My adoption fee is $85.00 and a training session with the amazing Nikki Ivey with Dog Speak is included with my adoption (a $200 value)! **Max is up to date on vaccinations and neutered and will be microchipped prior to adoption.     My name is Charlie. I am a labrador retriever/border collie mix. I am playful, energetic, and affectionate, although I am a bit shy with new folks, I warm up quickly. My favorite activity is playing tag with my sister, Chelsea and chillin' in my pool. My sister and I were abandoned on the side of the road, in bad shape when were were about 10 weeks old. Thankfully were were found and brought to rescue where we would be safe and loved, but what I really want is a home of my very own and one for my sister also, we have been waiting so long to share our love with a family, one that will never abandon us, one that will love us forever. Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Well, hello there! Thank you for taking a look at my profile! If you are looking for an active, compact, super friendly and loving dog, then you've come to the right place! My name is Dutchess and I am about 3-4 years old and 35 lbs. I am a muscular and stocky mauve colored staffordshire mix, but I'm rather on the small side. I am currently in foster care and loving it. I am completely crate trained and I have not had one accident in the house. I have been around dogs, cats and children and I love them all. My heart is as big as my smile and I just can't stop smiling! The humans that had "owned" me before over-bred me for a long ... (Read More)time, so I am very grateful that my breeding days are over. I can now enjoy being cared for instead. I could be ok as an apartment dog if I had a few walks or runs throughout the day. I would REALLY like to have a fenced yard or an enclosed area for exercise because I really do like to run, but I mostly want to be with you! So, even though I like to get in a good "zoomie" or two around the yard after doing my business, I want to come right back inside and be a part of whatever your doing. I want to be part of a family and not just be "owned" by one. My foster mom says that I give the best kisses, I just need to contain how excited I get because I love people SO SO much! If you are looking for a super friendly, all around fun girl with a great temperament, then look no further! Apply for me today so we can meet! I am spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, kept on intestinal parasite and heartworm preventative, and microchipped, all of which is covered under my adoption fee of $85.00. Please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org for foster and adoption applications or for additional information. If you have any trouble, please email us at RuralAnimalRescueEffort@gmail.com Please allow us at least 24 hours to respond, as we are a volunteer based organization with full time jobs in addition to rescue.     We'd like you to meet Rocko, Tennessee's next hunky eligible bachelor! Rocko is about 2 years old and wieghts 56 lbs. This Bull Terrier mix could be the next big thing to hit Hollywood, or hey, maybe the next Target dog!! He's good with female dogs, as well as submissive males. Rocko is good with kids, and he absolutely loves all people. He's also good with cats and acts uninterested in them. We will make sure that Stewie's adopter has information about training for deaf dogs in case they ... (Read More)want to pursue this. Stewie was scheduled to die in August 2016, but we managed to pull him, thanks to a foster volunteer. He has been doing well, and getting along great with other dogs. He has also been perfection with all of the children he has met. We aren't sure how he responds to cats, but will be happy to test him. Stewie is an energetic guy, he needs daily walks, or a fenced in yard to run and play in. He is very intelligent and receptive to commands, making him a highly trainable dog - for anyone willing to work with him. He would be great at agility of any kind, or just learning new tricks to entertain you. He could be the world's next Pet Star if he wanted but Stewie is perfectly happy with being your shinning star. The people at Red Fern tell me every day how much they love me and what a good boy I am. They say I am a calm and happy boy! I know that someone is going to say, 'That's the boy for me!' very soon, and I'll be packing my bones and heading out. Today could be that day! Ringo's adoption fee is $200.00. If you are interested in becoming Ringo's person, please submit an adoption application. Someone from Red Fern will contact you and answer any questions you have about Ringo. Thank you! ***This beautiful dog is currently in a shelter but has received full vet care and we will provide FREE volunteer transport to a foster or forever home'|please don't let that stop you from adopting!     Well, hello! My name is Samson, or 'Sammy' as they call me. I've been through a lot of my short three years of life but I have had some great experiences too. I was first rescued from a dog pound where I had only a short time to live if I wasn't rescued. I was only about 18 months old at the time. Then I was adopted by a family, which was great! Unfortunately, one of my human siblings (a teenager) had some health problems and would tease me with human food and other things, not realizing what she was doing. I know it wasn't her fault, but it started to cause me to start to be very upset when she would drop food to tease me and then pick it ... (Read More)up to not let me get it. I didn't mean to be aggressive with her, but I just wanted her to let me eat the food she was dropping for me, so I bit her. I didn't continue to bite because I wasn't trying to hurt her, I was only trying to get the food that I was so confused about. I know this is not acceptable behavior and I feel terrible about it, but I was so confused. So, even though I have been excellent with children before, the rescue folks say that I need to be in a home without them because of this incident. I want nothing more than to be with a family, maybe on a farm or a nice fenced yard that I can play in and just enjoy a peaceful life. I am about 3 years old (as of 5-3-17) and weigh 70 pounds. I am good with some dogs, but not with others, so RARE will test me with each dog individually to make sure I get along with them. So, no, I'm not perfect. However, I am worth it. I am a stunning black lab mix and I love people and have had consistent positive experiences at my current foster home. If you would like to meet me and find out if I could be your best friend, please apply for me at RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org. After you complete our short application, RARE will call you to discuss meeting me! *****AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT ARE REQUIRED!***** Please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org for foster and adoption applications or for additional information.
